The old Valmiera Post and Telegraph Building, on Diakonāta Street, is one of the grandest buildings in Valmiera that has survived to this day. In 2021, the “Akustika” team found a home in part of the building, combining their experience and professional knowledge gained over the years, and has created a warm place where you can leisurely enjoy a family atmosphere, world flavors, exhibitions, and musical performances. We are happy and honored to be part of the renovated Valmiera Theatre. In the fall of 2024, the renovated Valmiera Theater was opened, where the Akustika team manages the theater cafe. On the days of theatre performances, we offer culture lovers the legendary Valmiera salads, fabulously delicious pastries and a wide range of drinks for every taste.
In addition, our cafe premises can also be booked for private events and celebrations. Use the opportunity to book a table and appetizer in the theater cafe, before the performance or during the intermission of the performance.

The key to the success of Akustika is a very personal and tireless attitude towards work and strong family values. What makes us different? The restaurant always has a relaxed, light and friendly atmosphere, like being in a family or visiting old friends. This is also how we treat guests whom we welcome to our home – our family.

Uģis is the heart and soul of Akustika. A person with almost unlimited work capacity, a precise approach to every situation, a haven of peace for colleagues, a reliable cooperation partner and a person who loves life. A wine connoisseur and expert in fine drinks, he also enjoys cigars and educates guests about them. A person you can rely on. Born and raised in Riga, but has been a true Valmiera resident for 4 years now and would only trade it for the sunny coast of the Mediterranean. To say anything about him would be like saying nothing.

Dita is a professional chef, having worked at Dikļu Castle for many years, learning from the best chefs in Latvia. Currently, she is one of the best in Latvia, as for the second year in a row, the dishes she created have been highly praised by the prestigious MICHELIN critics, by including Akustika in the Michelin World Guide. What is her secret? Dita is raising four daughters, so she prepares every dish with motherly love. This cannot be learned in any school, it is a special talent. Her experience and professional knowledge allow everyone to taste not only the food, but also the feeling that it was prepared by a beloved mother.

Akustika's sparkle! Evija is young, sincere, positive and always smiling. She will most likely be the first person you meet when you walk through the doors of Akustika. Sometimes it seems that her energy is inexhaustible and her cheerfulness and pleasant communication with guests make everyone feel like they are visiting dear friends. In the summer of 2023, Evija graduated from the The Latvian Sommelier Association sommelier course, and already in the spring of 2024, she participated in the Latvian Junior Sommelier Championship, taking an honorable third place. Purposeful, curious, precise and endowed with a very high sense of responsibility. Sparkling like champagne and full-blooded like red wine.

Alīna is the soul of the Akustika cultural venue. She will welcome musicians and all concert guests with deep peace and sincerity to make the event special. Alīna has a golden heart with her artistic vision, which is visible in the concert hall, on social media, in photographs, in houseplants and in all corners of Akustika. Her super ability is to react quickly and find solutions to the most unexpected situations. Her support in the daily work of Akustika is immeasurable. Feminine, tasteful, with an excellent sense of humor and love in her heart.
